Product Description:
Cobalt 40% Citric Acid Solution is used as an irrigant during root canal treatment, aiding in the mechanical cleaning of the canal. This solution removes the smear layer from the root dentin surface, exposing dentinal tubules, which enhances the penetration of the sealer.
Instructions for Use:
- Shake the bottle well before use. For initial use, remove the bottle cap and peel off the seal. Attach the special irrigation syringe to the connector.
- Tilt the bottle and create negative pressure to fill the syringe.
- Place the bottle on a flat surface, then open the syringe.
- During mechanical canal preparation, apply the solution into the root canal using the irrigation syringe and proceed with filing. After the procedure, rinse the canal thoroughly with normal saline to remove any remaining solution.
- After use, close the bottle and store the product in a cool environment.
Note: Avoid using this product in cases of root perforation.
Clinical Notes:
- Do not leave the solution in the canal between treatment sessions, as this may cause excessive softening and demineralization of the root dentin.
Precautions:
- This product may cause irritation and sensitivity if it comes into contact with oral tissues. The use of a rubber dam during application is recommended.
- In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and consult a physician if needed.
- Swallowing the solution can be harmful to the patient. Ensure any excess solution is removed from the oral cavity using appropriate suction.
- Use with caution in patients with a history of chemical sensitivity.
