Home Bleach IFU

Product Description:

Cobalt Home Whitening Gel contains 15% carbamide peroxide with a special formula that includes water and glycerin. This gel’s high viscosity and adhesion ensure it remains securely in the tray, thus preventing damage to the gums during treatment. Cobalt Whitening Gel also contains fluoride and potassium nitrate to prevent post-treatment sensitivity.

Components:

  1. Two 3.4g syringes
  2. Special applicator tip

Indications:

Whitening of vital teeth with external discoloration.

Instructions for Use:

After taking impressions, prepare a customized transparent tray. Apply a small amount of the gel to the buccal surface area of the tray from molar to molar. Gently place the tray in the mouth and fit it to the teeth with light pressure. Keep the tray on the teeth for 6–8 hours. The response time for treatment ranges from 5 to 14 days.

If sensitivity or tooth pain occurs during this time, remove the tray and consult your dentist.

After removing the tray from your mouth, gently clean your teeth and the tray with a soft toothbrush.

Clinical Considerations for Using Cobalt Home Whitening Gel:

  • Avoid prolonged use of this product.
  • Ensure the use of a customized tray specifically designed for this gel.
  • Evaluate the presence of cavities in the mouth before starting treatment.
  • Pay special attention to exposed roots in the mouth, as applying the gel in these areas may cause sensitivity and pain.
  • After each use, it is advisable to use Cobalt desensitizing gel in the tray for 1 hour.
  • This product must be used under the supervision of a dentist.
  • After each use, close the product tightly and store it in the refrigerator.
  • This product is intended for dental use only.
  • Avoid using the tray for longer than the recommended time.
  • For placing tooth-colored restorations, including ceramic or composite restorations, wait at least 7-10 days after completing the whitening process for the final tooth color to stabilize.
  • Existing restorations in the mouth will not whiten like natural teeth. This should be communicated to the patient.
  • Hypocalcified areas (white lesions) that may not be visible to the naked eye can whiten faster. Thus, these areas may become more apparent after whitening. Consult your dentist about this.
  • When amalgam restorations are present in the mouth, it is not unusual to see a purple discoloration in the tray.
  • Teeth with extensive amalgam restorations may appear slightly darker after the whitening process, as the shadow of the amalgam restoration becomes more noticeable through the bleached enamel.
  • Some dental stains may not respond as expected to this treatment. Patients should be made aware of this.

Please avoid using this product for patients with known allergies to its components.

The effectiveness of this product decreases after its expiration date, so it is better not to use it beyond this date.
