Product Description:
- Cobalt oxy-gel containing glycerin gelled is used to prevent the formation of an oxygen inhibited layer in the vicinity of the polymerizing resin. This gel, with a minimum amount of water, provides a suitable environment for the polymerization of the composite and the removal of the oxygen inhibited layer.
Components:
Two 5 gram syringes, special series (18 gauge)
Disadvantages:
This gel should not be used between composite layers or after bonding because by removing the oxygen-inhibited layer, it removes the bonding monomers in the composite bulk layer and prevents the composite layers from bonding properly. As a result, the strength of the composite decreases.
Method of use:
Place an appropriate amount of gel on the final layer of composite or cement interface of the restoration and then cure. Make sure to cover the entire resin surface and include the gel margin of the restoration. After complete curing, wash off excess gel with water and air spray.
Clinical tips during work:
This product is designed for dental use only, by dentists.
Avoid using the product for patients who are allergic to its components.
Before using on a patient, test the gel on a pad or glass slab to familiarize yourself with the amount of pressure required to expel the gel from the syringe; otherwise, a large volume may be expelled.
Warnings:
Avoid swallowing the gel by the patient. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water for 10 minutes and consult a doctor if symptoms such as redness or blurred vision occur. In case of contact with skin, wash the area thoroughly.
Storage conditions:
Please store at 5-25°C.
