Instructions for using cobalt resin modeling

Product Description:

  • Cobalt Resin Modeling Product is a low-viscosity microfill resin containing 30% filler, which is used for better shaping of composite in direct and indirect restorations.
  • Unlike bonding, this product does not contain solvents and is free of the hydrophilic monomer HEMA, which prevents the formation of a weak hydrophilic layer in the composite bulk.
  • Since composite inherently has the property of sticking to the pen, wetting the composite pen with this resin can prevent this sticking and facilitate the placement and shaping of the composite in direct restorations.

Components:

A 2 gram syringe of resin

Black needle head

Uses:

Composite pen wetting agent in direct and indirect composite treatments

How to use:

Pour one or two drops of resin into a well and after placing the first layer of composite in the tooth cavity, dip the pen into the resin and shape the composite layer into the desired shape. Then cure the composite. You can do this until the repair is complete.

Note that although the time required for curing cobalt resin modeling is 10 seconds, follow the instructions for the composite used to fully cure the composite.

Although the formulation of this product has reduced the sensitivity of the material to ambient light-induced curing, it is best to use a blue light-protective cover on the cavity surface during long-term restorations to prevent resin curing.

After using this product, close the syringe cap and store at the appropriate temperature.

Warnings:

Since uncured methacrylate resins can cause tissue sensitivity in some people, avoid contact of this product with soft tissue and in case of contact with soft tissue, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water.

If you accidentally splash some resin into the patient’s or dentist’s eye, rinse the eye with plenty of water and see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. If the substance comes into contact with other body tissues, wash the area thoroughly with plenty of water.

Do not use this product after the expiration date.

Storage conditions:

Please store at 20-25°C.

Exposing the product to temperatures above 35 degrees and below 10 degrees can lead to phase separation in the mixture. Avoid exposing the product to the mentioned temperatures for long periods of time.
