Instructions for using 17% cobalt EDTA solution

Product Description:

  • Cobalt Canal Clean is a 17% EDTA solution with dentin chelation properties and is used for root canal irrigation during root canal therapy. It improves root cleaning by decalcifying dentin and removing smear layer from the dentin surface. Its low viscosity helps it to adhere well to the canal walls.

Method of use:

Draw the appropriate amount of EDTA solution into the irrigation syringe, insert the irrigation syringe into the canal, make sure that the tip of the syringe is not stuck in the canal, inject slowly and irrigate the canal with a back and forth motion. This product can be used as the last irrigant before obturation for 30 seconds. The canal can also be rinsed with sterile distilled water and dried after using this product.

Clinical tips when working with CanalClean cobalt solution

This product is intended for dental use only by dentists. Do not use on patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients. Wear gloves when using and avoid direct contact with hands to prevent allergic reactions. It is recommended to use this product in conjunction with sodium hypochlorite and alternately irrigate the canal with these two agents. Avoid alternating use of this agent with chlorhexidine as a canal irrigator. Prevent the product from entering the space beyond the root tip. Close the bottle after use to prevent moisture from entering the bottle.

Warnings:

This product is for dental use only. Use a rubber dam during root canal treatment and prevent the patient from swallowing the solution. Never use this product beyond the root tip. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If this product comes into contact with tissue, rinse the area with plenty of water. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse them with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Storage conditions:

This product should be stored away from direct sunlight and at a temperature of 5-25°C.
