Instructions for use of cobalt hemostat gel

Product Description:

  • Even the smallest amount of microleakage can cause the best restorations to fail. In aesthetic areas, poor control of bleeding, fluid in the gingival sulcus, and inadequate flushing of hemostatic materials can lead to failure of aesthetic restorations.
  • Cobalt aluminostate is a 25% aluminum chloride compound in an aqueous solution, supplied in gel form. This product stops minor bleeding when placed in the gingival sulcus and also prevents the fluid from leaking from the gingival sulcus. The appropriate viscosity of aluminostate facilitates its use in the gingival sulcus and remains well in place.
  • Unlike ferric sulfate-based luting agents, cobalt aluminoacetate does not interfere with the bonding process and can be used in adhesive processes.
  • The clear, colorless appearance of aluminoacetate does not obstruct the dentist’s vision and is easily removed from the surface when washed, without leaving any stains or residue.

Uses:

  • Pre-molding fluid control in the milling finish line area
  • Fluid control and bleeding reduction in repair processes
  • Fluid control before cementation of indirect restorations

Method of use:

The gum surface is washed and dried and an appropriate amount of the material is placed on the desired area. After the blood clots in the area, the aluminum chloride gel is washed with a water and air spray for 30 seconds and dried. If bleeding continues, repeat the previous steps for 1-2 minutes. After achieving proper fluid control, rinse the area thoroughly with a water and air spray and dry it. Important note: Washing off excess gel should be done with sufficient care and attention. Failure to properly wash the aluminoacetate gel can cause contamination of the existing dentin and enamel surface and prevent effective bonding.
