Cobacol is a tricalcium silicate compound improved by urethane acrylate resin, which is used as a protector/liner in the protection of pulp tissue. This product has minimal shrinkage due to its high filler content and, with its appropriate viscosity, provides the dentist with the best performance. The hydrophilic formulacinone in this product helps create a protective and stable layer for dentin.
Components:
A 1 gram syringe
Black needle head with 22 gauge
Uses:
Direct pulp cap in teeth that have been exposed due to trauma or mechanical exposure (after hemostasis has been established) Indirect pulp cap and as a liner in very deep and extensive cavities and in the vicinity of all restorations
How to use:
Direct pulp cap
1- Remove the syringe cap and place the needle tip inside the package on the syringe.
2- Isolate the tooth completely with rubber dam and remove dentinal decay. Thoroughly wash the dentin surface to remove any dentin residue.
3- Control pulpal bleeding with normal saline and sterile cotton balls and ensure that the bleeding has stopped. 4- Place a thin layer of calcium cobalt silicate liner (CobaCal) on the dentin adjacent to the exposed pulp area and 1 mm beyond it. 5- Cure the liner for 20 seconds. The thickness of the liner layer should not exceed 1 mm. If you intend to use a thicker layer, cure the product layer by layer.
After using this product, close the syringe cap and store at the appropriate temperature.
