Product Description:
- This product, in combination with physiological saline, chlorhexidine solution, or special calcium hydroxide cobalt liquid, can be used as a surface covering for severely infected or bleeding tooth canals between root canal treatment sessions.
- Calcium hydroxide paste has a pH of 12 in the presence of water and, with the appropriate viscosity, gives the dentist the ability to enter the root canal and cover the secondary canals.
Components:
A bottle of calcium hydroxide (30 grams)
Uses:
Temporary root filling material for adult bleeding canals to create a hard tissue barrier
Method of use:
After preparing the root canal space, rinse and dry it. Mix an appropriate amount of powder with a special calcium hydroxide cobalt liquid and stir until a creamy consistency is obtained. Then, place an appropriate amount of paste into the pulp chamber of the tooth and direct it into the canal with some cotton or lentillo. Finally, remove excess calcium from the pulp chamber space with a cotton ball. Note that this powder can also be converted into a paste using physiological saline or 2% chlorhexidine. However, the paste obtained with the special calcium cobalt liquid has a longer working time and does not dry until it is placed in the vicinity of moisture. The calcium paste obtained from this powder is completely washed with water and removed from the canal in the second session. However, it is recommended to wash the canal with a 40% solution of citric acid cobalt after washing with water.
