Cobalt Porcelain Bond – IFU

Product Description:

Cobalt Porcelain Bond is a HEMA-free, monomer-free unfilled resin that serves as a bonding agent for porcelain veneers and lithium disilicate restorations. Unlike traditional dentin bonding agents, it does not contain solvents or hydrophilic HEMA monomers, making it suitable as a wetting agent for polyethylene fibers.

Components:

6 g bottle of Porcelain Bond.

Indications:

  • Bonding agent for porcelain veneers and lithium disilicate surfaces.
  • Bonding agent for enamel (e.g., in fissure sealants).
  • Wetting agent for polyethylene fibers.
  • Composite pen wetting agent in direct and indirect composite treatments.

Instructions for Use:

To use as a porcelain bond: After preparing the veneer surface and the tooth surface according to the restoration and bonding instructions, dispense one drop of Porcelain Bond onto the veneer surface. Apply the appropriate amount of resin cement without curing, then position it on the target tooth. Finally, cure the restoration.

It is important to note that while the curing time for Cobalt Porcelain Bond is 10 seconds, follow the instructions for the resin cement used for complete curing.

To use as an enamel bonding agent: Ensure that enamel is present across the bonding surface (for shallow caries treatments, fissure sealants, and orthodontic bracket bonding). Etch the surface with 37% phosphoric acid for 30 seconds, thoroughly rinse off the acid, and dry the enamel. Apply one drop of resin with a microbrush on the enamel surface. After 10 seconds, gently disperse the bonding agent on the surface using air pressure. Cure for 15 seconds.

To use as a wetting agent: Place one or two drops of resin into a well. After placing the first layer of composite in the dental cavity, dip the pen in the resin and shape the composite as desired. Cure the composite. This process can be repeated until the restoration is complete.

Note that while the curing time for Cobalt Porcelain Bond is 10 seconds, follow the instructions for the composite material used for complete curing.

Warnings:

As uncured methacrylate resins can cause tissue sensitivity in some individuals, avoid contact with soft tissues, and if contact occurs, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water.

If resin accidentally splashes into the eyes of the patient or dentist, rinse the eyes with plenty of water and seek ophthalmological attention as soon as possible. If the product contacts other body tissues, rinse the area thoroughly with water.

Do not use this product after its expiration date.

Storage Conditions:

Store the product between 20°C and 25°C.

Exposure to temperatures above 35°C or below 10°C can lead to phase separation in the formulation. Avoid prolonged exposure to the mentioned temperature extremes.
