Cobalt Aluminostat Gel IFU

Product Description:

Cobalt Aluminostat Gel is a 25% aluminum chloride solution in aqueous gel form. This product, when applied in the gingival sulcus, effectively controls minor bleeding and prevents the secretion of gingival crevicular fluid. Its optimal viscosity facilitates application and ensures retention at the treatment site.

Unlike ferric sulfate-based hemostatic agents, Cobalt Aluminostat does not interfere with bonding procedures, making it suitable for use in adhesive techniques. Its clear and colorless appearance does not obstruct the dentist’s view and is easily rinsed off without leaving any stains or residues on the treated area.

Indications:

  • Moisture control before taking impressions at the finish line area
  • Fluid control and reduction of bleeding during restorative procedures
  • Fluid control before cementation of indirect restorations

Instructions for Use:

  1. Clean and dry the gingival area, then apply an appropriate amount of the gel to the desired site. After hemostasis is achieved, rinse the aluminum chloride gel with air and water spray for 30 seconds and dry the area.
  2. If bleeding persists, repeat the process for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  3. After achieving complete fluid control, thoroughly rinse the area with air and water spray, then dry it.

Important Note: Careful rinsing of any residual gel is essential. Inadequate rinsing of the Aluminostat gel may lead to contamination of the enamel or dentin surface, thus inhibiting effective bonding.
